Hi everyone,

I wanted to create an email newsletter for people who are interested in the buying and selling , mergers , joint ventures, licensing of businesses.

In order to do this, I would like to know, what type of information needs do you have or require that this newsletter can fill? I am open to ideas and hope that we can create something that would be of benefit to all....

Interesting news...

So in north america, with the advent of baby boomers retiring there is going to be a glut of businesses that will be available for sale to finance their retirement. However, there are not enough buyers and with the lack of succession planning for many of these entrpreneurial businesses, it is being predicted that there is going to be a crisis with many businesses folding due to no new owners.

And there won't be enough financing for management buyouts either because many banks are unwilling to risk putting their money into buyouts, because they consider them as the same class of startups...

As an entrepreneur, what are you doing for this??

Joint Ventures

I run a small printing company online. I have a printer in Florida (I am based in New York), which makes communication efforts difficult at times. I am looking to connect with a local (tri-state) printer who can fulfill my orders as well as help complete a web-based system.

Is anyone interested, or does anyone have any contacts.

First - the problem is that it's a bar. Then, let's assume that one does not have the ability to go through the normal channels - banks, etc. for funding. Assume also that there is a fantastic (well-written, well-researched, verifiable and professional) business plan. How then would you look for funding, besides friends and family? I have around half of the money that I need, but I would like to see if anyone has any creative ideas on how I could put this plan in the hands of someone, or a group perhaps, that may be interested in funding this bar.

I have a long and successful history in running businesses, and any diligent research would find that I am easily qualified to accept this investment.

Thank you in advance, and I look forward to any ideas/thoughts that you may have.

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to find a bit about the members of this tribe. Could you all let everyone know what you're looking for in terms of either buying or sellign businesses. Tell us if you're an entrepreneur or an investor? What kind of business do you have or are looking for?

The key thing about being a business broker is our network of investors and entrepreneurs. By helping each other we can increase that network and maybe profit from it.

I have sold one business on behalf of an entrepreneur on an informal basis. I enjoyed the process of negotiations, and the analysis involved. I am currently working for a start-up as marketing manager, however I'm looking to start my own business eventually....
